PORTLAND -- Monday was the wettest day of the summer but still far short of normal rainfall patterns, according to KGW meteorologist Nick Allard.

Portland had .19 inches of rain Monday and .21 inches during the entire rain front, he said.

It brought the total August rainfall to .36 inches, well below the .67 average.


KGW meteorologist Rod Hill reports the the last time Portland saw this much rain was June 23.
