SALEM -- One man was shot early Monday morning during an argument with two other men in the yard of a home in Northeast Salem.

Dispatchers got a call about 8 a.m. about what was described as a home invasion in the 4000 block of Jade Street NE, said Marion County sheriff's spokesman Don Thomson.

Arriving officers found a man suffering from a serious gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital.

He was identified as 50-year-old Christopher Riesch.

The other men fled in a bright red pickup with a black canopy. The truck had been parked in a nearby apartment complex and was last seen westbound on Jade, toward Lancaster Drive.

Thomson said other details may emerge later.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the Marion County Sheriff's Office at (503) 588-5032. Callers can remain anonymous.
