PORTLAND -- The family of missing 14-year-old Yashanee Vaughn wants the public to see and circulate a flier about her disappearance, hoping it may lead to new clues for police.

Crime Stoppers has also offered a $1,000 reward in the case.

Investigators said they believe Vaughn was murdered by her boyfriend, 16-year-old Parrish Bennette. He remains in jail on manslaughter charges but no body has been found.

The family believes someone may be enticed to speak if the public is made aware of the reward offered, said Michelle Bart, a representative for the family. The family will continue throughout the weekend doing a flier distribution to keep Yashanee s face and case visible.
