PORTLAND -- Authorities pulled a body out of the Willamette River about 8 a.m. Wednesday near the Steel Bridge.

A Multnomah County Sheriff's Office patrol boat retrieved the body just north of the bridge after calls were made to dispatchers.

The body was taken to McCormick Pier and handed over to the county medical examiner, said Lt. Steve Alexander.

Police will not release any other information until relatives are notified.
