The warm and sunny start to Spring Break was expected to end abruptly Tuesday, with high temperatures expected to drop 15 degrees in just one day, and plenty of moisture on the way.

Rain returns on Tuesday and Wednesday, with showers bringing around half an inch of precipitation to the valley.

Showers at times will be heavy with possible small hail and isolated lightning, Hill said.
