PORTLAND -- Ice cream maker Ben & Jerry's is working on a new Portland flavor and is asking for your help picking the ingredients.
To add some Portland panache to the voting process, flavor fights like blueberries or cherries become baristas vs. band members on the contest website. Hovering over marshmallows or graham crackers switches the choices to mustaches vs. beards.
Local partners Rogue Ales and Portland Roasting are among the flavor competitors, but to make the final cut they'll have to beat out pretzels and cinnamon, respectively.
Voting ends on July 28 and scoops of the winning ice cream will be available August 10.
Flavors will also be created for San Francisco, Seattle, New York and Washington, D.C.
