LEBANON A man accidently shot himself in the hand and another man in the forearm while negotiating a gun-for-tires trade near Lebanon Friday, deputies said.

Around 11:30 a.m., 23-year-old Brandon Butler and 31-year old Anthony Catullo were talking about trading tires for a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol on a logging road near McDowell Creek Park.

While discussing the trade, Butler tried to show Catullo how to disassemble the gun when it went off.

The bullet grazed Butler s hand and hit Catullo in the forearm, shattering a bone, deputies said.

Authorities said alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident.

The two men were driven to the hospital, and no charges were filed.
