PORTLAND -- For the next two weekends, the Northwest Natural Ultimate Open House Tour will be under way.
This is the eighth year for the UOH and the biggest one yet.
The show comes at a time when new home inventories are extremely tight. Most of the homes in the show come with an EPS, or Energy Performance Score.
Throughout the tour, homes are reminders of how energy efficient the home is and how much money you'll save on your energy bill.
Also, look for new trends. This year, many builders are adding multi-generational designs, which can be used for, among other things, an in-law suite.
In addition, dinning rooms are making a comeback.
The 45 homes by 21 home builders stretch across the wide metro area.
If you're a buyer and you don't know exactly what you want or where you want to live, it gives you the opportunity to look from Forest Grove to Boring to Portland, said Kelly Ritz, president Stone Bridge Homes NW. It gives you a large area to take a look at, and see where you might want to live.
Prices of this year's homes range from $200,000 to more than $1 million.
The Ultimate Open House Tour runs over two weekends, April 26th and 27th and May 3rd and 4th.
