PORTLAND -- Two men forced their way into a home in Northeast Portland and then robbed and assaulted a 71-year-old man, police said.

The victim told police that someone knocked on his door Monday morning. When he answered it, two men forced their way in, assaulted him and robbed him.

The assault and robbery happened in the 4000 block of Northeast 125th Place, police said. Officers searched the area using a police dog but did not locate any suspects.

Authorities advised the public to be on the lookout for two white males in their 20s. One was described as wearing a blue shirt, the other was short, heavy and wearing glasses.
