ESTACADA, Ore. Two men were arrested Monday after they allegedly tried to ship marijuana, pot plants and guns from Oregon to New York.
In July, Clackamas County deputies discovered 39 pounds of pot in a suspicious freight pallet at a trucking company.
Deputies discovered that Clark McNutt, 60, paid for the pallet to be shipped to New York. The discovery spurred an in-depth investigation.
On Monday, deputies, with the help of a drug-detecting K-9 dog named Kilo, found more than 130 pounds of marijuana, 229 plants and five guns at a home in the 39000 block of Delph Ridge road in Estacada, according to Sgt. Robert Wurpes of the Clackamas County Sheriff s Office.
Clark McNutt and his 24-year-old son, Timothy McNutt, both of Estacada, were arrested and charged with manufacturing, distributing and possessing controlled substances.
Bail was set at $100,000.
