PORTLAND Police identified a suspect in the attack on a 70-year-old man who was bashed over the head with a skateboard in Portland in July.

Daniel Delbert Dorson, 18, (pictured) is wanted for assaulting Larry Allen outside the Portland Outdoor Store on July 15, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.

Allen said he was hit across the forehead with the skateboard, causing him to lose consciousness. Doctors bandaged his right arm and stitched up a large gash over his right eye.

Witnesses told officers that a large group of transient street kids were involved in the assault. Police recovered a skateboard that may have been used but did not immediately identify a suspect.
