VANCOUVER -- A 23-year-old Vancouver woman was sentenced Wednesday to more than three years in prison for her role in kidnapping, robbing and shooting an Oregon man.

Joanna Kyrstin May Speaks pleaded guilty to charges of robbery and tampering with a witness in a deal with prosecutors. Her lawyer said her boyfriend had forced her to participate in the Nov. 28 attack on Freddie A. Landstrom near Vancouver Lake.

The Columbian reports ( ) she had met him previously in Milwaukie, Ore., and invited him to her apartment where her boyfriend then held him at gunpoint.

Landstrom was taken to the lake where he was robbed and wounded.

The boyfriend, 20-year-old Pedro Godinez, is scheduled for trial July 29 in Clark County Superior Court.
