KEIZER, Ore. A Men s Wearhouse store in Keizer went up in flames right in the middle of prom season.

Just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a burglar alarm at the store and found smoke pouring out of broken windows, said Anne-Marie Storms with the Keizer Fire Department.

When crews tried to get into the building through an emergency exit, they found the door had been welded shut and dry-walled over, Storms said.

Crews had to then enter the front of the store and plow through racks of clothes as clutter from the burning building fell on them.

No one was injured and investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.

About 32 firefighters showed up to battle the fire, and fire officials estimate the damage to be close to $2 million.

Anyone who with a suit or tuxedo reserved was referred to the store s Woodburn location.
