VANCOUVER -- A Clark County woman was arrested for assault Wednesday after deputies said she intentionally struck her boyfriend with a van and took off with their 4-year-old daughter for several days.

Investigators said 41-year-old Kimberly Ann Gibson struck her boyfriend while their daughter was in the van on July 19. The van was later found unoccupied in a Longview parking lot, according to Sgt. Duncan Hoss of the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

On Wednesday deputies asked for the public's help finding Gibson and her daughter, and a news viewer called 911 soon afterward to report seeing the two near a shelter in Kelso.

Police responded to the area and arrested Gibson for assault.

The girl was reunited with her father.
