PORTLAND -- The suspect in the deadly shooting of a Portland teen last March was arrested by FBI agents in Las Vegas Wednesday, police said.

Lonnell Demarcus George, 23, is accused of killing 18-year-old Edward Jewell Paden Jr. outside a gas station on Northeast Killngsworth Street on March 27.

Witnesses said they heard an argument followed by gunshots, but police initially found no suspects at the scene. In May, police announced George was a suspect.

Police: Murder suspect armed and dangerous

An FBI criminal apprehension team found and arrested George inside a Las Vegas apartment Wednesday night, according to Portland police Sgt. Pete Simpson.

George was jailed in Clark County, Nev. awaiting extradition to Oregon.
