MILWAUKIE, Ore. -- Police say a bicyclist who was struck by a car Thursday night in Milwaukie was crossing a street against a traffic light.
Sorin Nita, 32, was not wearing a helmet was thrown into the windshield and over the top of the car, said Officer Ulli Neitch of the Milwaukie Police Department.
Police say he was taken to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland in critical condition. He was upgraded to serious condition Friday.
The driver who had a green light remained at the scene and told police he did not see the bicyclist. She suffered minor injuries.
