VANCOUVER Officers arrested a man for attempted murder after he entered a Battle Ground home and bashed two people in the head with a hammer early Saturday morning, police said.

At 4:36 a.m., police found a man and woman, both 35 years old, bleeding from their heads after a man entered their home in the 4300 block of Northeast 110th Avenue and attacked them, according to Kim Kapp with Vancouver police.

Both victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Marcus A. Morrison, 30, of Battle Ground was located by the Clark County Sheriff s Office several hours later and booked in jail on two counts of attempted murder.
