PORTLAND About 100 student at Warner Pacific College found a burglar in his campus home early Friday morning, a spokeswoman with campus relations told KGW.

The student called police just after 7 a.m. after he found the intruder in his home at the Adams House at 2309 SE 70th Avenue, according to Shirell Hennessy with Warner Pacific campus relations.

Paul Michael Walters, 30, was arrested nearby shortly after police showed up, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.

Walters was booked in the Multnomah County Jail on burglary charges.

No one was injured in the intrusion. Hennessy stressed that these types of events are rare on campus and said the student did the right thing by calling police.
