Before McAllister was a nurse, he worked as a police officer for the Beaverton Police Department. Sources told KGW that McAllister resigned from the police department after he unintentionally fired his weapon while on duty.

One morning he was in a different uniform. He wasn t in a Beaverton Police uniform. He was actually in a security uniform, a friend of his said. I asked him what happened and he said he was giving the ultimate choice of quit or you re going to be fired because he had an accidental discharge of a weapon in a house.

McAllister s family and attorney declined to comment after his first appearance in court Thursday. He was held on $2 million bond.

Police confirmed Thursday that more victims had come forward since KGW first broke this story Wednesday.
