VANCOUVER -- The officer involved in a Vancouver shooting over the weekend has been identified.

Officer Chris Douville, 29, was among the responders called just before 11 p.m. Saturday to the report of a disturbance in the 16000 block of Northeast 37th Street, according to Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

Arriving officers learned that 37-year-old Cacy L. Jordan had been threatening family members with a gun. Jordan then refused commands from police at the scene, Kapp said.

Douville shot Jordan, causing non-life-threatening injuries. Jordan was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is expected to fully recover.

He will be jailed on domestic violence charges when he is released.
