TUALATIN, Ore. -- A load of steel beams slammed into the cab of a semi-truck in Tualatin Monday afternoon, causing major traffic backups.

The damaged truck was partially blocking the eastbound side of Tualatin-Sherwood Road, as well as Southwest Martinazzi Avenue until around 4 p.m.

Just last month, a similar accident occurred along Southwest Tualatin-Sherwood Road when a semi-truck driver was cut off in traffic and also lost its load of steel beams. In that incident, the beams actually pierced the back of the cab and went all the way through the front window.

The driver managed to duck just in time to avoid getting hit by the huge beams.
