HOODRIVER, Ore. -- A Hood River man was arrested Monday, suspected of robbing a U.S. Bank at gunpoint the week before.
Police believe Timothy Bryan Glenn, 28, robbed the U.S. Bank at 1309 12th Street just after 10 a.m. on September 12 and then fled on foot.
The suspect was described as a white man in his late 30s, 5-foot-11, with a slender build, long hair and facial hair. He was wearing a baseball cap, a blue long sleeved T-shirt and tan pants. Police circulated a surveillance photo to the media, hoping someone would recognize him and alert investigators.
Police said Monday that the suspect had been identified and captured but did not elaborate on whether a tip from the public helped track him down.
The robbery and police search prompted several schools to go into lockdown.
Members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Hood River Police Department and Hood River Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at the suspect's residence Monday and Glenn was taken into custody that afternoon, police said.
