PORTLAND -- The man suspected of driving the wrong way on I-84 and I-205 and crashing into a car on the Glenn Jackson Bridge is now back in custody.
Kenneth Burgess failed to show for his Tuesday court appearance in Portland, so a warrant has been issued for his arrest. He was arrested late Wednesday night and is currently at the Multnomah Co. Jail. He's charged with several charges including reckless driving, criminal mischief, and DUII.
Burgess, a big rig driver from Medical Lake, Wash., is accused of driving at speeds up to 85 mph on local freeways in March prior to the crash, despite police chasing him throughout the incident. He's scheduled to be back in court later this month.
