PORTLAND A man in Portland was arrested after he fired several shots at two people in Southwest Portland early Sunday morning, police said.
Officers arrested 26-year-old Ean Nisbitt at around 3:30 a.m., said Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau.
Nisbitt reportedly pulled out a handgun while confronting a group of people in a car at Southwest 2nd Avenue and Southwest Ankeny Street.
The group parked the car a few minutes later and then ran into Nisbitt again, Simpson said.
The victims and Nisbitt exchanged words before he pulled out his gun and fired several shots at 19-year-old Kevin Mikes and 19-year-old Benjamin McClellen.
Mikes and McClellen ran from the scene and called police. Neither victim was injured.
Nisbitt was spotted a short while later and arrested by the Gang Enforcement Team. He was charged with attempted aggravated murder, unlawful use of a weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of MDMA.
The handgun has not been found. It may have been dumped between SW 2nd and Ankeny, from Naito Parkway to Oak Street. Anyone who finds the gun was asked to call police.
