WOODLAND, Wash. -- A telephone service outage was affecting 911 callers in LaCenter, Woodland, and the surrounding areas, officials said Tuesday afternoon.

The outage only appeared to impact customers of Frontier Communications, according to a statement sent out by Clark Regional Emergency Services.

Frontier customers experiencing outages were advised to use their cell phones for emergency calls, or use a telephone service from a different provider. Those without access to cell phones were asked to report to the nearest fire station for assistance.

Please do not make a test call to 911, the CRESA announcement stressed.
