VANCOUVER-- A man faces arson charges for allegedly setting fire to the Vancouver, Wash. Quality Inn Saturday.

Angel Torres-Reyna, 41, forced Clark County deputies into a standoff when he sat on the roof of the hotel at 7001 Highway 99 for three hours.

Crews noticed him around 3:30 p.m. after they put out the flames. When they asked him to come down, he refused and challenged deputies to come get him.

Torres-Reyna repeatedly kicked down ladders that firefighters were setting up in order to reach him.
