TILLAMOOK, Ore. -- Investigators at the Oregon coast want to get their hands on helmet cameras from a sky diver, hoping the video will provide clues about his deadly fall.

Matthew Gold died Saturday when his parachute failed to open at a gathering of para-gliders in Tillamook county.

Gold was from Salt Lake City.

Gold's friends worry he took one too many chances.

Who knows what was going through his mind, said Kevin Hintze. I mean...I've had experiences where I've made close calls, and a lot of it is just because I'm so much in the moment, you know.

Investigators think someone may have taken the cameras because they fear trouble with the FAA. They believe Gold jumped from an ultra-light aircraft
