PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Mayor Sam Adams reassigned two city bureaus to Commissioner Dan Saltzman Wednesday.
Adams' office said he would transfer the Bureau of Development Services from Commissioner Randy Leonard and the Office of Cable and Franchise Management from Commissioner Amanda Fritz to Saltzman.
Adams said Leonard needed to work on implementing a recently passed $72 million fire and public safety technology bond Fritz reformed the cable and franchise office, increasing city revenues, and was set to start the new Equity Initiative, Adams said.
BDS has in the past couple of years been subject to deep budget cuts
Running this city is a team effort, and I want to thank my colleagues for their willingness to tackle these new assignments, and for their ongoing commitment to serving Portlanders, a statment from Adams said.
