SALEM -- A Salem hotel manager was allowing prostitutes to use rooms for free, in exchange for sexual favors, according to police.

Investigators said Christopher Butler, 25, was arrested Monday night for promoting prostitution, prostitution, tampering with evidence, and interfering with police.

They said Butler committed the crimes while working as a manager at the Phoenix Inn, located at 4370 Commercial Street SE in Salem.

Butler was booked into the Marion County Correctional Facility.
