PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Police say cold case detectives arrested a 48-year-old man Tuesday in the 1995 slaying of a man as he slept at his home in Portland.

Danny Conner is accused of killing 24-year-old Darrin Ezell. Conner is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday.

Police say the cold case unit has solved more than 40 homicides since it began reviewing old cases in 2004.
