PORTLAND --- The former Beaverton teacher who fled to Mexico to avoid child pornography charges was found not guilty Friday on two counts of sex abuse.

Local prosecutors said Logan Storm abused two young girls at a community pool back in 2007.

The trial started just over a year after the former Beaverton teacher was convicted of possessing child pornography. He fled the country after authorities found his electronic monitoring bracelet ditched in Troutdale. He was later found in Mexico City.

Storm was charged in 2011 with abusing the young girls, but his trial was put on hold until the child pornography issue was resolved. Storm was sentenced to 8 years in prison in the federal case.

Now, nearly 7 years after the alleged abuse at the pool happened, Storm has been found not guilty.
