PORTLAND Police are looking for a suspect after a man was shot early Sunday morning in Southeast Portland in what authorities are calling a gang-related attack, police said.

Sunday's shooting is Portland's third gang-related weekend shooting in a row.

At 1:22 p.m., police swarmed to Southeast 101st Avenue and Pardee Street where they spoke with witnesses and found evidence of gunfire, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.

At the same time, a man in his late teens or early 20s was getting dropped off at a nearby hospital with serious gunshot wounds. He was then taken by ambulance to a trauma hospital. Police expect the victim to survive the shooting, Simpson said.

Portland s Gang Enforcement Team is investigating.

Last weekend, a juvenile girl and a 19-year-old man were shot in a hail of gunfire near 2800 N Willis Boulevard.

The week before that shooting, a 15-year-old was killed and a 22-year-old man injured in a shooting at the Portland Holgate MAX station that police said was gang related. A suspect was arrested Thursday on murder charges in the attack.
