PORTLAND A man with a shotgun opened fire on three men who were reportedly trying to steal marijuana growing in his yard Saturday, police said.
None of the men was hit when 44-year-old Robert Zachow (pictured) fired on them just after 4 a.m. in the 13200 block of Southeast Division Street, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.
Responding officers contacted 21-year-old Eric Presnall, an 18-year-old man, and a 16-year-old a short time later.
Presnall was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and the other men were released and not charged, Simpson said.
Zachow was charged with three counts of attempted murder and booked in the Multnomah County Jail.
