PORTLAND TriMet s board of directors is considering a plan to spend more than $2 million on bus service improvements in the Portland Metro area and Washington County.

The proposal calls for using money from reserve funds to pay for the upgrades.

TriMet officials assured that they would not have to cut services or raise rates to pay for the improvements.

The board plans to vote on the proposal before July 1st.
