PORTLAND - The Oregon Health Authority is trying to figure out what made several people sick at Andina restaurant in the Pearl.

About 15 people have reported getting sick since March 1. Symptoms included vomiting and diarrhea, consistent with a norovirus-type illness.

The restaurant is actually very proactive about cleaning it up and throwing out any of the food that could have been implicated in this particular outbreak, State Epidemiologist Emilio DeBess said.

The manager said he has been working with the Multnomah County health department and state officials to pinpoint the cause. The restaurant has remained open.
