PORTLAND -- The head of the London 2012 Olympics organizing committee will be in Portland to meet with Oregon Olympians Wednesday.

Sebastian Coe was scheduled to take part in a presentation at Portland City Hall's council chambers at 9:30, followed by a meet and greet from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the building's atrium, said Drew Mahalic of the Oregon Sports Authority.

Coe is the official Olympic and Paralympic Legacy Ambassador of Great Britain, as well as a highly-decorated Olympic runner.

He planned to discuss the 2012 Olympics and the long-term benefits of the Summer Games, including the economic benefits to host cities.
