GRESHAM -- With the possibility looming of a teacher strike next Wednesday, the Gresham-Barlow School District outlined a plan to keep classes going.
Schools will close for the first three days of the strike to allow administrators, staff and non-striking teachers to prepare for a school with classes taught by substitute teachers.
Classes will then resume the week of April 30, but only for K-3 daycare and advanced high school classes, and high school varsity athletic programs.
On May 7, school will resume for K-5, eighth and 12th-graders. The week of May 14, all schools will reopen.
The district's web site, emails and text messages will keep parents notified of the schedule.
