BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A bicyclist was injured after colliding with a car in Beaverton Wednesday morning, witnesses told police.
Just before 9 a.m. police responded to the report of a crash between a car and a bicycle on SW Canyon Road at SW 110th Avenue, according to Pam Yazzolino with the Beaverton Police Dept.
Arriving officers said the driver of the car had pulled over and was sitting nearby, visibly shaken. The bicyclist was on the ground, unconscious.
The 20-year-old bicyclist was taken to a hospital with possible head injuries. She was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Witnesses told police the driver had been turning left onto SW 110th Avenue from SW Canyon Road when the cyclist ran into the passenger side of the car.
The driver was not injured and was cooperating with investigators. Yazzolino said alcohol and drugs did not appear to be involved.
