PORTLAND -- The 24th annual Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival contined through Monday on Portland's waterfront.

More than 125 performances were scheduled on five stages throughout the holiday weekend.

The fun is all for a good cause; the event is the Oregon Food Bank's biggest fundraiser.

We raise about $600,000 from this event, said the food bank s Laura Golino de Lovato. That is critical to allow us to respond to the increasing demand for emergency food. It allows us to buy food and put our trucks on the road

An estimated 100,000 people were expected to attend.

By Saturday afternoon, the event had raised $29,000 and collected 136,000 lbs. of food. The goal was to raise $100,000 and collect 650,000 lbs. of food.
