Sunday started with fog and expect cloudier skies after the fog lifts, said KGW meteorologist Jim Donovan. After some light sprinkles Monday, the rest of the week looks like partly sunny skies, he said.
The freezing level Sunday and Monday will be at least 6,000 feet, so don't expect the rains to fall as snow in ski areas, he said.
East winds Tuesday should help clear the Portland area of precipitation again. Highs could reach the mid-50s by mid-week, possibly hitting the 60s along the coast.
Dry weather could even continue until Friday, Donovan reported.
