PORTLAND -- A wrong-way driver crashed at about 4:20 a.m. Monday in the southbound lanes of Interstate 205 on the Glenn Jackson Bridge, creating a massive traffic backup for about five hours.
The semi-truck crashed into a car (pictured below), and that driver was taken to the hospital with traumatic injuries. She was expected to survive.
The driver of the semi-truck was not seriously injured and was arrested. Investigators said they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The collision was near the Washington side of the Columbia River.
As of 9:30 a.m., all northbound lanes were open and two lanes open southbound. By 10:15 the truck was towed from the scene and all lanes were re-opened.
A second wreck backed up traffic on the best detour early Monday. The left lane westbound was blocked by a wreck about 6 a.m. on State Route 14 about at the Columbia House Boulevard exit.
