BANKS, Ore. -- Two flags stolen from an Oregon military memorial site in late April have been replaced.
Army veteran Jim Bray was driving by the memorial site near Banks on April 24 when he first noticed the flags, one U.S. flag and one 10th Mountain Division flag, were missing from the flagpole.
Monday bray and other members of the Northwest chapter of the 10th Mountain Division were on hand as the flags were replaced in a ceremony at Summerplace Assisted Living.
The center also gave them two additional 10th Mountain Division flags.
Bray and fellow veteran, Ed Flabetich had hoped to dedicate the memorial site to their division on Memorial Day, but had to postpone it when the flags were stolen. They have now rescheduled the ceremony for June 29.
