YACHATS, Ore. -- A Yachats man is accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home and stabbing her Sunday, police said.
The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene and her injuries were not life-threatening, according to Sgt. Dave Shanks with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
Police found suspect Anthony Buccella, 36 of Yachats, after a two-hour search near the victim's home on Lemwick Lane.
Investigators believe Buccella stabbed his ex-girlfriend with a knife and then fled on foot just after 4 p.m. The victim told officers that Buccella threatened to kill police if they went after him but he was arrested without a fight, Shanks said.
Buccella was lodged in the Lincoln County Jail on charges of attempted murder, burglary, domestic assault, domestic menacing, and criminal mischief. His bail was set at $315,000.
