OREGON CITY. Ore. -- Five people were detained after an early morning SWAT raid on Oregon City Monday.
Officers served a warrant for felons in possession of illegal weapons on Gaffney Lane near Claremont Way, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
Police used flash bang grenades to enter the residence, waking neighbors.
I thought they were shotguns, said neighbor Pete Robertson. I told my wife to get on the floor, 'cause I thought rounds might be coming through the house.
Robertson said he realized it was a police raid when he heard voices on a loudspeaker.
Police said the five people taken in gave themselves up without incident. They were taken in for questioning.
Further details will be released later Monday.
