SALEM Concerns of a canine influenza have turned out to be unwarranted, after tests by state veterinarians.

Willamette Humane Society said samples tested by the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine have shown no signs of the dog flu.

Earlier this month, dogs at the shelter were quarantined after showing respiratory symptoms. The animals responded well to antibiotics, vets said.
