PORTLAND -- The Burgerville fast food chain will be a business partner with the Portland Timbers when they open their 2011 Major League Soccer season.

The details of the multi-year deal include a special seating section of the stadium for underprivileged kids and a partnership through the Portland Timbers Community Fund.

Timbers fans will be able to purchase tickets at each of the chain's 39 restaurants throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. The Timbers will be advertising heavily at those locations.

The Timbers and Burgerville will also co-brand each other through social media platforms.

The Timbers commitment to community really impressed us, said Cathy Miller, director of marketing for Burgerville. We look forward to a fruitful partnership as the team continues to build its presence in Portland and we work together to raise awareness of the importance of kids leading active, healthier lives.
