PORTLAND -- A part-time Catlin Gabel coach who was arrested and subsequently fired for a sexual relationship with a student has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Deonte Huff, 26, was arrested in May after the school alerted Washington County Sheriffs of inappropriate relations between Huff and a student. He pleaded guilty to second-degree sex abuse in November.
The age and sex of the student were not released and only one victim was identified.
In a statement sent home to parents in May, Catlin Gabel administrators explained the situation and said they'd have counselors available to help students.
Huff will also serve 42 months probation and must register as a sex offender.
