EUGENE, Ore. A Roseburg woman was cited for DUII after she crossed the centerline of Highway 126W and crashed head-on with a Springfield man Saturday morning.
At around 4 a.m., Sarah Long, 26, was driving east on the highway when she veered into westbound lanes and crashed into David Brookbank, 43, said Lt. Gregg Hastings with Oregon State Police.
Brookbank reportedly tried to avoid Long by steering his minivan toward the shoulder of the highway but was still hit.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Long and Brookbank were both wearing seatbelts and airbags deployed in both vehicles, Hastings said.
Long was cited for DUII, assault, reckless driving and reckless endangering.
