PORTLAND -- Umbrellas, parkas and ponchos are not a bad idea to take along Wednesday evening as you head out for trick-or-treating.
KGW Meteorologist Nick Allard said steady rain will fall from 4 to 5 p.m.
Between 5:30 and 8 p.m., the forecast turns to showers. Rain will still fall, Allard said, but maybe not where your kids are ringing doorbells. That's the best time to hit the streets, he said.
The temperature will be in the upper 50s.
October rainfall will come close but probably not break a record of 8.41 in 1994. Allard said he expects up to an inch to fall by the end of Wednesday, bringing the monthly total to about seven inches.
