PORTLAND, Ore. -- Spring is here and Easter is Sunday. Here's a guide to some of the activities for kids and adults to celebrate the holiday around Portland. In addition to the events below, many of Portland's neighborhood associations are sponsoring Easter egg hunts.
Easter activities for kids and families:
The Oregon Zoo welcomes kids to the Rabbit Romp Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The romp includes egg hunts every 10-15 minutes for children 10 and under. There's also a special hunt for kids under two. Visitors should bring their own baskets.
Mt Scott Park will host an egg hunt and continental breakfast Saturday. Breakfast starts at 9 a.m. and the hunt begins at 10 a.m. $5 per person, at Mt. Scott Park on SE 72nd Avenue.
The Cedar Hills Artisan Bazaar features a spring egg hunt and pancake breakfast for kids and families. You can even snap a picture with the Easter Bunny himself! The egg hunt is $7 per kid, pancake breakfast is $5 and Easter Bunny photos are $5.
The Metro Parent Kids Calendar has even more events this Easter weekend.
Adults can get in on the Easter fun too!
The Portland Spirit is hosting an Easter Brunch cruise Sunday. Jump on board the boat for a two-hour brunch buffet with live entertainment, champagne, sparking cider and more. Reservations required. $58 for adults, $29 for kids. Two cruise options available, leaving port at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. For more, click here.
And if you really want to get crazy on Easter weekend, there's the annual Portland Bunny Con Saturday starting at 3 p.m. Costumes are mandatory at this bar crawl. It's for a good cause, too -- proceeds benefit a local woman's fight against breast cancer.
